The Mississauga Arts Council announces that on June 28th, the Culture Lab 2016 will kick off!

Intended for youth ages 15-18, MACLimelight will provide a day of challenging and entertaining workshops geared towards young people considering artistic careers The day long series of joint seminars and break out workshops will be divided by interest areas.

The sessions will be taught by experienced professionals from a variety of creative arts industries. Sessions will be divided by their focus on three areas:
(1) Music and Theatre production
(2) Fine Arts and Graphic Design
(3) Video and photography

Subjects include how to become an arts entrepreneur, what various post secondary institutions offer, how to live your brand and market your works how to grow your business and connect with your community, your city.

All workshop sessions are designed to teach important entrepreneurial principles and practices in different genres of art.

The main host site will be the beautiful Living Arts Centre in downtown Mississauga with field trips to art institutions nearby.

Finally there will be multi-faceted, multi-performance concert.

The entire day including lunch and dinner served on site will be free and there are only 200 places available!
